Extract the whole download, then open Install.cmd on Windows or Install.command on macOS. Choose your Forever AddOns folder. Updating keeps a backup and your character progress.

These are unsigned preview scripts, still awaiting testing on Windows and macOS. You can use the addon ZIP for manual installation.

Choose your guides

Leveling, class builds, professions, dungeons, raids, reputations and attunements. Turn categories on or off in the addon's settings.

The leveling route follows quests. Pause it for a break, check a dungeon suggestion, then return to your saved quest progress. Dungeon equipment suitability is still being verified.

Install in a few steps

  1. 1. Close World of Warcraft.

    Open Battle.net's folder for your Forever installation.

  2. 2. Unzip the download.

    Copy the GetWoWGuides folder into that client's Interface/AddOns folder. Keep the existing folder backed up when updating.

  3. 3. Open the addon.

    Enable GetWoWGuides on the character screen. In game, type /gwg, open settings and choose whether to show research drafts.

Your progress is saved per character. Updating the addon files leaves your game's saved progress in place.
